Apparently he hasn't been healthy in quite a while, because he's really not been that good since 2003.

Oops... yep, Vega you are correct. The Cards are a HUGE 3 games ahead of the Astros.

well the astros dont have anybody for a #1 or 2 starter..oswalt and jennings, this year, probably couldnt be a 1 or 2 for many teams..They're both sub par Unless a 4.00 era and 1.40 whip have suddenly become good..i know the stat man will spin it but the rest can see these guys are struggling.

I've never said once that Oswalt isn't struggling, hembo. Reading's not your strong suit, is it?
Why not forget about that? You can't judge a pitcher by his win/loss record. That's a team measure. Of all the things that you look at what a pitcher has done, like ERA, WHIP, k/bb, k/9ip, etc, wins and losses are at the bottom of that list.

Chandler.. That was meant for me. Vega is poking at me about the Cards being better. He is pointing out that they are ahead 5 in the loss column. Which of course would matter if the Astros hadnt played 4 more games than the Cards.
It really doesnt matter. The Cards and Astros are both very bad teams with struggling star players.

NO, i just giving the CORRECT numbers, 3 games, not 1.5 and 5 on the loss columns.
By the way, you HAVE NOT MENTIONED the cubbies.

What about the Cubs? Why would I mention them in a conversation about the Astros and Cards?

Wrong, look at the SECOND post on this topic. I MENTIONED BOTH, TLR AND LOU. REMEMBER WHEN YOU TRASHED LOU? REMEMBER WHEN I TOLD YOU THE FIGHT FROM LOU WAS GOING TO GET THE CUBBIES TO PLAY BETTER? ? WELL, WOULD YOU BE KIND ENOUGH TO GIVE ME THE RECORD AFTER THAT FIGHT? ?? I BET YOU THEY HAVE A BETTER RECORD THAN BREWERS AFTER THAT. BY THE WAY, THEY SWEPT US TODAY.

Remember when i said that astros would be closer to last than to first, and you call me negative and crazy? ?? Do you STILL think i am wrong? ?

It wasnt the fight Vega. They spent $300 Million this last off season and have been losing for years. They have a pretty good farm system.
You can look to all the silly mythical things but the simple reality is, The Cubs are a pretty good team and they just started playing better.
It wasnt Lou getting suspended.
Did you Caps Lock break?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, now they are good team? ? You were saying they were bad before, that they were stupid with the FA they picked. Actually, you said we were going to finish over them. And yes, the fight was IMPORTANT, took the issue away from the Zamb/Barrett fight, then they trade Barrett and kept the number 1 pitcher happy. Lou is a good manager and he is PROVING that with the Cubbies this year. They are going to win the division.
