Since Lou had his big fight with ump this team has played very good baseball. Astros continue to suck and Biggio continues to play, bad combination. Jennings, 1 and 7, 10 hits allowed today. What a waste of Buchholz and Hirsh, waste waste waste. Well, AStros are going nowhere, Biggio continues to play, why? ?

Garner knew the Astros would not beat Zambrano so he saved Oswalt for Saturday. Smart move.

Exactly. But the "genious" TLR pitched Wells and the Cards got hammered. Cards fans are pissed and now calling for his firing again. Tonite along with not using Pujols in the AS game with the game on the line and a chance to win it.
But I guess TLR is a genious.

Hembo... dont even try it. Mulder isnt a #2 and hasnt been for 2 years. He has sucked for the Cardinals. The Cardinals got FLEECED bigtime on that trade. Haren, Barton for Mulder. GEEZ!
Carpenter may be done. It was just a matter of time with his arm anyway.
The Cardinals got old. They didnt get hurt. They are a very bad team. They are a much worse team than the Astros.
Vega... you can spin anything. I will grant you that. You damn good at it. The Cards are 1.5 games better than the Astros in the standings, but they arent and dont play better. They are a MUCH worse Offensive team than the Astros AND they are worse in ERA. The ONLY reason the Cards are ahead of the Astros is bullpen.
But remember... TLR has the greatest player to ever play the game, Pujols. The Astros just have a bunch of no name average nothings.
Vega, you ought to try and read around the St Louis forums. They complain about the same things you complain about Garner with TLR. They want him fired and for just about the same reasons.

Imagine the Astros without Oswalt and Jennings, where would we be? ? Well, Cards are playing without Carpenter, Mulder, Edmonds and for a long time Eckstein. They should be playing for next year also but they have a BETTER MANAGER, I NEVER SAID THEY HAVE A BETTER TEAM, but they are playing better with WHAT THEY HAVE, meaning, BETTER MANAGER. Also, they had EncarnaciĆ³n injured. Do the Astros have the SAME EXCUSE??? INJURIES? ??

NO, not injuries. But Injuries are part of the game. But here is the thing... You CANNOT blame Garner for the talent he is given and you cannot blame Garner for Berkman and Oswalt having off years. You cannot blame Garner because his entire bullpen forgot how to pitch.
Lane, Ensberg, Everett, Woody, Ausmus are not Garners fault.
Edmonds and Eckstein are done. Their better days are WAAY behind them.

always has been..Try watching some baseball instead of coming up with wild stats all the time.... I guess the stats are 'wild' because they prove you wrong EACH and EVERY time. Ya know, it only takes about 3 seconds to look them up on baseball-reference.com, then maybe you wouldn't be so wrong so often. And, no, Mark Mulder hasn't 'always been' a #2 starter. Was he in 2006 when he put up a 7.14 era? How about in 2004 with that 4.43 era? The A's got the better end of that deal by far.

Again AB gives WRONG numbers trying to prove a point.
Cards are 3 games better and 5 games better on the loss column, NOT 1.5 GAMES.

Chandler, thing with Mulder is that he is injured, IF healthy, he is a number 2, if not, then forget about him, he is a number 4 instead.
