not a great year...While all of them have been good up til now you know the astros track record on guys on their way out... Arod is a no brainer but would draytie spend 25 mil a year? this isnt even something to consider because draytie will not spend that and AROD will want to play on a contender...Those two things rule out him coming here...Im guessing my Dodgers will make a run for him, but probably Angels
The best one (not counting arod) is zambrano...This is the one guy the astros would be advised to go after...he will be 26 at start of next season...if the Cubs dont have their sh*t together by then nobody will stop him leaving as the Tribune has ben told to trim $$$ If theres new ownership then forget him coming here..same division, i dont think so..
Im not surprised Posada is having a career year..most do in the last one of a contract(hidalgo)he is a good ctaher but also 36..not what we need
Torii hunter would be the best bet after zambrano..i dont know about long term but at least 5 years...theres nobody on the farm coming soon so hunter would fit right in...It would allow girly arm to move to right field..
adam dunn...ehhhhh maybe move him to right? he would probably crank out 60 hr's in that ball park but probably not worth anything as nobody would be on base and we need pitching..plus he will probably not be cheap
mariano rivera...God would i have liked him on the dodgers or astros 7 yrs ago...The best of the best and a guy who wrote the book on closing...too bad he is 38 ...
jason jennings...seen enough
rowand.... if you cant get hunter i would get this guy...
The rest are big names but have spent the past two seasons hurt
