41 pitches - no outs. 41 FVCKING PITCHES and NO FVCKING OUTS. That has got to be a team record maybe an alltime MLB record. Most pitches thrown without recording an out in an inning.

I don't blame them at all for not trading him. He says that no one offered anything useful other than minor league roster filler. 1 or 2 1st rd draft picks are worth more than that. Anyways, about Wandy - it kinda goes with what we were saying - he should only pitch at home. He's horrible on the road.

Oh i misunderstood you..I thought you were saying we got jennings and draft picks..My bad..you really think someone will trade a 1st and second round draft pick for him? im not bashing you im just curious why you think he warrants that?

hembo... 1st. In MLB you cant trade draft picks.
2nd. Jennings will leave Houston as a Free Agent and then Houston get draft picks for losing him to another team.

You can't trade draft picks in MLB.
As part of the CBA, teams that offer arbitration to free agents and then lose the player are due compensation in the form of draft picks.
Players that are marked as Type A by Elias are 'worth' a 1st rd pick and a 1st rd supplemental pick (That's why Houston didn't have a 1st rd pick this year - they lost it to Texas for Lee). Players that are Type B are only worth a supplemental pick. I'm pretty sure Type C warrant nothing.
Jennings likely would have been an A, but his last start kinda screwed that up. He should be a B, and if he turns it around and is one of the better FA available, he'll be a Type A. Last year, the Astros missed out on compensation draft picks by not offering arbitration to Clemens, Pettitte, and Springer. I can understand teh first two, but not the 3rd. Had they offered arbitration to Pettitte, there are certain rules that state how much a player can increase OR decrease in arbitration. Since he made $17.5M in 2006, he could have gotten anywhere from 17.5-21m in 2007 - way too much money.
Loretta and Lamb are both strong B's, possibly A's. (Springer was an A last year). It's possible that, as long as we offer those 3 arbitration, if those 3 guys walk, we could net as many as 3-6 extra first rd picks next year, which would help a LOT to replenish our system.

which would be great because if lane was the only thing we had to bring up, then the minors need a little re building themselves

Yep. I would have brought up Josh Anderson. He's not going to hit much, but he'll play defense a lot better than Lane, and I've seen him enough in the minors to guess he can hit over .170 unlike Lane.

The fact that Wandy can only pitch well in Houston proves it's all between his ears. He is a gutless little b*tch and we need to get rid of him. He's a useless moron.
