the low ERA at home shows Wandy has the stuff to suceed, which is a lot more than i can say for two other astro starting pitchers, and at least he isn't biting at our payroll.

Exactly. Lefties sometimes take a while to get it going. Wandy is still young. He is still cheap and under team control. Who knows, maybe next season he figures out how to pitch on the road and becomes a complete pitcher.
