Nobody here will probably give a sh*t, but Tom Glavine joined an elite club yesterday.. Quite an achievement of endurance

of the three which is the hardest to achieve. 3000 hits, 500+ HR or 300 wins, I think wins as you have to depend on your teammates to score runs in order to win. Your not going to win a 200+ only getting a run or two in support.

There wont be many more 300 winners, but there will be alot of 500 homer hitters.
There isnt going to be alot of players in the 3000 hit club either. Thats takes talent and longevity.
I do agree with you...
1) 300 wins 2) 3000 Hits 3) 500 homers

Your not going to win a 200+ only getting a run or two in support. There are 27 3000 hit guys, 23 300 win guys and 22 500 HR guys. So, historically, the 500 HR's has been slightly harder to achieve. But, in the future, with starters going less ionnings in less games, I'd suggest that 300 wins will become increasingly difficult.

Why wouldn't anyone here give a sh*t? Seems like you're just trying to stir up crap with comments like that. I can tell you that I think it's a real big deal.

They'll probably be 10 more 500 HR guys before the decade is out. There seems to be one a month. Frank Thomas, A-rod and Jim Thome is knocking on the door. Bagwell just missed it. It's really nothing special anymore. The Hall of Fame will welcome you with 300 W's or 3,000 hits; but 500 HRs ain't gunna cut it unless you've got something else going for you. Does anybody really think Fred McGriff belongs in the HoF?

He has been a workhorse as well..average 200 innings most every year, 5 (20) game seasons and a lifetime 3.48 era...its not bad
The 500 hr thing will be reached many more times..nobody is close to 300 wins outside johnson and he is more or less done
I would say its a toss up between 3000 hits and 300 wins
On that note a new record for hits and wins will not happen in our lifetimes and wins will never be broke...i dont know if he can play long enough but ichiro would be most likely to get the hit record but he would have to play until he is 44 and average 250 hits a year...ol pete will have that one for a while

i think mussina is the next closest after johnson(that i know of) he is 500 this year and is 54 shy of 300...i dont see him doing it
3000 hit predictions..ichiro, jeter, arod, bonds(he is too close not to be greedy)
possible manny ramirez and omar vizquel..vizquel is only about 400 hits away
