Why does Garner EVER allow this bum to pitch past the 5th inning? In his last two starts......including tonight....Jennings has had the lead after five innings. Garner leaves him in until we are behind and then pulls him out. When will Garner learn that Jennings is a useless piece of sh*t who can't go over five innings? This sh*t happens every time this bum is in the game. He sucks.

Garner always manages to give games away like he did tonight. He leaves Jennings in too long and then brings that worthless Miller in to be sure we lost.

Jennings is a very bad pitcher.
He can't go over 5 because he just does not throw hard or has good stuff.
Sooner or later luck goes when you are sh*tty pitcher.
I KNEW HE WAS GOING TO LOSE THE GAME, he is an awful pitcher.

And for the record, i prefered Pettitte over this clown any day. Really?? It is a good thing you let us know that you would have prefered that Pettitte resigned with the Astros this season. If it was not for this direct statement, in this exact post, on this particular day, not one single person on this board would be aware that you would have enjoyed, very much, the resigning of Andy Pettite. I can not believe that you have not spoken your opinion on the Astros failure to resign Andy pettite until this very moment, one would think you would have said something sooner. Thank you, again, for sharing with us your opinion on this matter, we are all now fully aware of your opinion on this situation. There will be no need for you to restate your opinion on this matter again, ever, for the history of mankind... or at least today, and possibly until the end of the month, lest we forget your stand on this issue. Thank you again, for sharing. Goku

Aren't you guilty of the same thing? Which puts the joke squarely in your pants.

Mr. Goku,
Let me explain you how bad this move was.
First, you don't resign a good pitcher. Second, you trade for a number 2, give a cf, a starter (number 1 prospect on your list) and a quality number 4 or 5 starter or 7th inning guy for a guy throwing 84 mph. Third, you don't get a pick on Pettitte. Fourth, you KNOW you are losing Clemens by losing Pettitte. Fifth, you don't get a pick for Clemens. Sixth, you sign Woody to take Clemens spot. Seventh, you lose a pick by signing Woody.
So, ONE moves creates 7 to 10 bad moves in one offseason.

PooPoora only signed Williams and Jennings because Valenzuela and Nomo weren't available! ;D

The main hope that we have here is that Jennings will be signed by some other sucker once the seasn ends.

No one in their right mind would have offered arbitration to Clemens and Pettitte last year. Because of arbitration rules, Pettitte could have accepted and then Houston might have had to pay as much as $18million for him in 2007, and he's not worth no where near that much money, not with his injury issues. Clemens, if he would have been offered arbitration and accepted it, could have made well over $20 million for the whole season. It wouldn't make much sense to potentially sink over $40 million on two pitchers, one of whom has injury issues the other of whom has age issues.
They're gone. Get over it. Yeah, I wished we still had 'em, but we don't. You know what else I wished we still had? Bill Spiers and Dome Foam nights (now that I'm old enough to enjoy it), but ya know what? We're not getting those back, either.

I wish the Astros would put Jennings on waivers to see if anyone would claim him.
