James, remember the discussion we had about the Astros prototype white hat? I think I remember you said Gene had a photo or two of it. Any chance we could have a peek?
BTW, this is one terrific thread. I still love the blue and gold of the Dierker (as manager) era clubs. Very classy threads. The prototype might have been even better. I think the current flastros and flouston uni's are crap.

Everyone has their favorites. I like the home whites now the best (not the pinstriped god awful ones, the solid white ones). I also like the brick red ones. I thought the last set were pretty blah.

I'll give him a call again.

You da man, James! Wow, just, wow. Those pictures are almost too painful for the human eye. Thanks just the same, though. Indispensible to understand the evolution of the Rainbow Gut Uni --- which still has a fond place in my heart.

Ok, the top one is easy, thats Dave Guisti.
The botttom guy looks like Roger Craig. I looked it up. He was pitching coach here in 74-75. The first year of the rainbow gut was 75 so that pic is probably taken in 74. Of the pitchers on the 74 roster, that might be Mike Cosgrove.

Guisti and Craig are correct.....and the other with Roger Craig might be Cosgrove.
