He is now the manager of the same pile of sh*t that Garner had to manage and he got the same results that Garner had been getting. If I were Cecil Cooper, I'd tell Draytie if the results of the rest of the season was going to determine whether I got the manager's job on a full-time basis, then, I need to be given the freedom to make out my own lineup and not have to worry about having Biggio in there just to keep selling a few more tickets. Biggio should SIT.....give Burke the job and tell him it's his to lose. Then, if he can't cut it, move on to Plan B.

I totally agree. Biggio should have been riding the pine once he had his 3000. Draytie will NEVER let the manager or GM do anything that might hurt Biggio's feelings or possibly lighten his wallet in order for the team to actually win. I will be glad when Biggio is gone so maybe this club can move on. But I bet we will see plenty more Biggio and Bagwell appreciation events for the next few years!

I think Drayton is already planning ways to keep "his boys" visible. When they decide they are ready, anyone who has a job they want is history.

The only guy who could watch this team and then actually want to manage it, is this guy.

I wonder if Drayton would consider having a "Manager for a Day" Promotion. Lets fans sign up for a chance to manage for a day or even for an inning. He wants to keeps butts in seats and I guarantee there are a lot of us who could do better, or at least THINK we could do better than what has happened thus far.
Maybe someone here is a diamond in the rough waiting to be discovered.

Maybe someone here is a diamond in the rough waiting to be discovered. Probably not.

As long as Drayton keeps meddling in the baseball side of things and putting business decisions first, things aren't going to get better.
