Ok some of you locals that follow the minors closer than some of us long distant fans who are you excited about seeing and why. I know we dont care to see Lane any more but on the other six.
Anderson
Paulino
Ramson
Quintero
Gutierrez
J.R. Towles.

Interesting to see what Towles can do.
We need to give starts to Gutierrez and see what Paulino can do.
I would watch those 3 players.
Problem with Anderson, you are taking at bats from Scott.

Lane should not be called up. He should be released to make room for guys who can contribute in the future.

im wanting to see towles as well...munson isnt exactly a defensive gem back there....anderson may be good but most of his stats at AAA dont really impress me. 40 sb's are a ton but doesnt say much in the minors as most of the good catchers are in the pros(my opinion anyways) i dont know much about anderson..im just saying that theres something else we are not seeing or his 40 sb's would be up here months ago instead of keep bringing up lane and randolph
..towles and paulino are the ones they really need to be watching though... Lane just needs to be gone altogether

Anderson's a very good defensive CF and a very fast baserunner. He's fun to watch. With that said, he's not that good offensively and has little to no power. He's one of my faves in the system, but I know that he'll never be more than a 4th/5th OF if even that.
To put it in context, he's even got less power than Willy Taveras did.

Chandler....Steve finley had no power but was a great player for us( funny how he left and started hitting 40 homers a year....hmmmmm) Can the guy hit at all?..He must get on base to have a chance to steal 40...I know...you said he wasnt good offensively...I am just clinging to a shred of hope here..  |
