why they dont play this guy is beyond me...he deserves a full season to play..not spot starts here and there...his potential is much better than the deadweight of burke, who could very well be in danger of losing a 2b job next year...i dont see burke here long if he cant start hitting..i know theres people here who like burke but lets be realistic....regardless of how great the hitting of pence, lee and berkman is this team cant have the other 4 or 5 guys batting .220 .250...the pitcher and ss are a given but when you throw in the catcher, second and third, well, thats too many guys not doing anything

Garner screwed Scott around the whole time he was here. Scott needs to be given the RF job full-time and be let the hell alone.

I don't know if Garner was in complete control of that situation, but he sure as hell didn't help Scott get any playing time. i think that maybe PooPoora had a hand in the decision not to play Scott on a regular basis.

well garner and poopoo are gone and scott still doesnt play...i have, however, heard he is rather fragile and a stiff wind may blow him over...that could be a issue down the road

I just posted a couple ideas in the other thread on Sept Call downs on this very idea. For one the club wants to know where Burke is so when he is not playing Second they are playing him in RF. Burke is being giving the rope to hand himself as his numbers are still terrible.
With almost 300 at bats a Avg of 231 and a OPS of 675 if thats what you want out of a young Second Baseman well Burke is your man. I want someone who plays close to Biggio and producing the same type numbers Biggio did in his prime.

That is the main reason Burke plays over Scott in RF right now.
Second Scott is a girly man always being hurt. Been hurt most of the season and that is why I think Garner didn't like him.
