Besides Bob Watson, why shouldn't Biggio and Bagwell be top contenders? After all, they've been helping make personnel decsions for years....encouraging Draytie and the GM's who to acquire and who to trade. Personally, I expect Watson to get the job and Cooper to keep the manager job. If this happens, will this be the first African-American duo to hold these two positions at the same time with the same club? Draytie has long been considered to be prejudiced and this is his chance to make some points with black fans in Houston.

You mean like the way the club never brought Alou back when he was a free agent time after time even though he is very good friends with Bagwell?

Because everything I have read about the guy says he is very qualified. It appears he is a great evaluator of young talent. The Dodger farm system is pretty good. I think the Dodger farm system is ranked very high and I beleive that Logan White is responsible for the farm system.
Plus.. it would burn hembo up to steal away a Dodger front office guy. LOL
