This is what rotoworld said about Woody and Biggio.
Woody Williams volunteered to spend the rest of the year in the bullpen so the Astros can get a look at some of their kids.
If only Craig Biggio would join him. Felipe Paulino is scheduled to start in Williams' place Tuesday.
Best day this year is when Biggio RETIRES.

Craig wants to pass a couple of more guys on the all time hit list before he retires. And, we all know that Draytie thinks this is more important than taking a look at players who may help us next season.

yes, thats why i am so mad about this organization, instead of watching new guys like pitt did for half a season, we got stucked watching old guys play:
Loretta, Biggio, Woody Williams, Ausmus instead of Towles, Gutierrez, Burke and Anderson.

Just an FYI...
Woody and Roy will be skipping their next starts to give the young guys a chance. Woody has volunteered to goto the Pen for the rest of the year.

Woody needs to voluntarily retire and not embezzle the $6.25 million he will be owed next seasn for leading the league in home runs allowed again.

Which player has more at bats, Biggio or Scott? ?/// Thats a crime, to see Scott playing as a bench guy and not a regular. Same can be said by Lamb. This was easy, play Lamb at 3b with Berkman at first and Scott in rf. Lineup would be something like this: 1. Burke 2b 2. Loretta SS 3. Berkman 1b 4. Lee lf 5. Pence cf 6. Lamb 3b 7. Scott rf 8. Ausmus C 9. Pitcher We would still have problems with the rotation because is just not good enough. Very dumb not to re sign Pettitte and Clemens, DUMB. With those 2 our rotation would be: 1. Oswalt 2. Pettitte 3. Clemens 4. Woody (ouch) 5. Hirsh Bullpen: Big mistake, BIG not signing Springer 1. Lidge 2. Qualls 3. Wheelers 4. SPRINGER 5. McLemore 6. Sampson Sampson could have done what Borowski did for this club. I BELIEVE THIS ORGANIZATION HAS NO CLUE, but when you play to give a guy a chance to hit 3,000 is STUPID. That move has really turn me down on this organization and this team. I don't see WINNING organizations doing this to fans. Look at YANKEES and Babe Ruth, ect., they either perfomrm or go elsewhere.

Why do you assume that every player YOU want to sign with Houston is willing to sign with us? It seems pretty shortsighted to automatically assume that every available free agent would be willing to come to Houston if an offer is extended.
You need to freshen up on your history. Performance had *nothing* to do with Ruth being sold to the Braves.
