The pity is, Biggio would still have gotten his gd 3k in a part-time role. Instead, they started him and had him LEADING OFF. I forget, but he went something like SIXTY ABS before he drew his FIRST GD WALK. You just can't have that out of a lead-off man and expect to compete. Personally, I think the organization owed Biggio a fair shot at 3k, but they went way overboard. About 75% of his career here, he was an asset; the last 25% he was a millstone around our necks.

Maybe, but I still think that Petite and Clemons are ass clowns. Petite said that he went back to the Yankees because they offered him another 3 mil. That is bullsh*t. Once you figure in New York state income tax and New York City income tax, he came out the same. Him and Clemons both just wanted to go back to the Rotten Apple so they could be in the limelight once again, and honestly I could care less. Clemons is a d*ck and always has been and Andy wants to be just like his butt.....buddy. ;D

We should play our best players against teams in the pennant races. It's good sportsmanship. Turn it around the other way and think how you would like it if you were trying to hold off the Cardinals and they were playing a team that ran out a bunch of scrubs, basically giving them the series? From what I've seen the last few days, our young players ARE our best players. They've damn sure played better than Berkman, Lee, and Biggio.
