I predicted Pettitte was going to finish with a plus 4.00 ERA.
NOw, i have to tell you he pitched MUCH BETTER than anticipated in the AL. I thought Clemens and Pettitte would get hurt pitching in the AL big time, both finished with ERA's over 4.00.
In the NL the ERA's would had been under the 4 and with Clemens the ERA would had been in the low 3.00's.
But, they went over there because they wanted TO WIN, not numbers, and they made the RIGHT DECISIONS.

I agree with you on the winning as I bet Clemens and Pettite went to TPURP and told him about his pathetic offense and that was probably part of the split with the Astros, gotta love a team that score an of 5.7 runs a game and has Average pitching. With an average of 4.47 ERA with more than a run more a game equals wins Astros on the other had scored an average of 4.3 runs a game and had an ERA 4.79 not a good combo for a winning team.

on the other hand what would the Astros ERA be in the AL, if the Yankees had a lower ERA than the Astros gotta make you wonder.
Who cares we all get some perdictions right and a few wrong but we tend to only toot our horn on the ones we get right and never mention when we are wrong.
