Wow... just blew the save and Holliday is at 3rd with no one out. Holliday should win the MVP.
Looks like the Rockies are on their way to postseason play.

Well.. he blew it. Rockies going to Philly. I am glad... I would like to see Helton have another shot.
Maybe Hoffman will end up being the PTBNL in the Jason Lane trade... LOL

Not only did Hoffman blow it, so did the ump. Holliday never touched the plate. That being said though, I would rather see the Rockies in the playoffs over the Padres. Cali doesn't need 2 teams in the playoffs.
GO INDIANS!

I'd rather see any of those teams in than the Cubs.

He WAS the man. Hoffman hasnt been good for 2 years. He has NO upside. I would easily throw Lidge over him. Hell... Rivera isnt all that good anymore, compared to what he was. He is still better than most, but these guys get old.

I would easily throw Lidge over himahaaaaa..thats a dandy... ab..Babe Ruth and bernie williams were both great ballplayers but dont you think one of them was a little better than the other? You do realize Hoffmans last two years were 06' 46 saves 2.14 era and whip 0.97 07' 42 saves 2.98 era and whip 1.12 now i havent looked yet are you telling me that lidge has been better? has anyone been better over the last 2 years? before i post the stats who wants to bet trevor hoffman has been better over the last few years? This is a no win situation for you AB..i can promise you he didnt beat hoffman last year and i kind of doubt he beat him this year.. who's game?

Well.. Hembo... ya got me on this one. I did something I almost never do. When I typed what I wrote I didnt look it up 1st. I took for face value something I heard from Charlie Pallilo on the radio comeing home and I never looked it up to verify whether or not it was true. That is absolutely amazing to me that he could be so far off. I will however stand by what I said about the end of this season.. He looks old and worn out.

Hoffman never seems to make the big save when it counts. The HR to the Yankees in 98 WS and the list goes on, the Big blown save this year in the Playoff game. He has a ton of Saves probably the most I think but tell me when it was a big game time save when it really counted

PLus the save he blew with 2 outs on Saturday which would have avoided the playoff game on Monday altogether.
