I am worried about that .222 average, i don't think i want that big contract with that big question mark.

Maybe a change of scenery and a more team friendly contract would make it a good fit.
But I agree that his BA has been in decline, might not be worth the risk.

He made over $13 million this year and is "looking for a big raise". No way I'd sign him. Let him take his .222 average somewhere else. Defensivly, he's fantastic but I'd pass on him.
