im not so sure i would have him on that one either..his track record lately hasnt been great...i think father time just caught up to him the past few season..arguably one of the best ever, if not the best stat wise, he just doesnt have it anymore....
on that note..before he rejoined the yankees this season he said he would explain why at the end..why he left the astros..if this season is any indication why he left..he need not even bother telling us why...it was all too clear

Nah, he hasn't been missing Pettitte's butt. That's why he re-signed with the Skanks in the first place.

With Torre gone, we may see Clemens back in Houston if they have any chance on winning next year. Same applies with Pettitte

Clemens never pitches again and shouldnt. He is done. Stupid move if the Astros signed Clemens again. I would be ok with Pettitte, but no way does Clemens need to pitch again.

People have been saying for 10 years now that he's 'done'. If you get a chance to sign him and McLane's willing to spend the money, I'd go for it. I'll take my chances on him in 2008 over some of the kids we have as options now. Besides, he'll be better just by having Everett behind him instead of Jeter.

No way. Too much money for a guy who is going to be 46 next season and is beginning to have the problems associated with his age.

Hey, it ain't my money he's spending, and as long as it's 'separate' from the regular team budget as he did in the past, how can it hurt?

Good point Chandler.. but isnt that the Biggio effect. He is taking a roster spot away from a young guy? Clemens wasnt good this year and he has been hurt for the last 3 seasons with the same ailment. Hamstring.
