Lidge is looking very good. Now our bullpen is very strong with White pitching the 6th, Lidge the 7th, Qualls the 8th and Wheeler the 9th. Would you trade Lidge now that the value is very high?

Being that I am pessimistic by nature, I would trade him if a good offer came to us. I think he's going to blow up again at some point.

I say that because you just dont recover that quick...he is a few years away from proving people wrong...i hope he does prove us wrong though..even if its not here..he was a lot of fun to watch when he had game, and few were better..i wish him well but i wish him gone at the same time

Lidge has looked a lot better. He never lost the ability to strike people out, he was just allowing too many walks in between. If he can keep that slider working, he'll be better. I dont want him closing just yet, but there is still something there worth having around.

If Lidge continues to pitch well as a set up man but can't close. you still have to consider that they are paying him closers money and long term that won't sit well with Draytie.

I think he is too valuable right now as the 7 inning guy in leads, and future closer later on.
Now, if the AStros are out ( I don't think we are going to be out unless Garner continues to suck) then Lidge could be trade and we could get a lot for him. Team like Atlanta, Arizona, Chicago (AL and NL), Yankees, Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia would give a lot for him.
Now, the guy we REALLY need to trade is Ensberg, i believe he is done with the Astros, he is not the power guy he was for 1 1/2 year in the majors.
We are better off with Lamb at third, eventough he struggles defensively.

The you're more sold on Lidge than I am. I think he's mentally fragile.
I agree 100% with getting rid of Ensberg.

Lidge would still be gone if i could package him and ensberg for another starting pitcher....the days of lidge, dotel and wagner in the 7th 8th and 9th are a memory..

Richard Justice was on the radio this afternoon and he said a source with the Astros said that Ensberg will be gone soon.

Just don't see getting anything for Ensberg but at this point, I would take a bucket of golf balls for him.

We will more than likely have to trade him for another team's underachiever.

The have been rumors that the Angels want Ensberg. What we can get for him.....I don't know. I'll take whatever I can get and send this flake to any team that wants him.

I think Purpura's holding out for a reach-a-round before he pulls the trigger on an Ensberg deal.
