I just read that the Rockets are bringing Steve Francis back to Houston. Why the hell would they want this underachiever back? I recall this clown being for himself first and the team second. Why would they want him???

Francis may or may not work out but at least the Rockets Front Office doesn't sit on their asses doing nothing to try to improve.
If Francis has his head on straight, he can be a very good addition to the team.
The Rockets have added.
Steve Francis
Luis Scola
Mike James
Aaron Brooks
Those are 4 decent players to a 52 win team. They also got rid of Juwan Howard's contract. Howard slumped badly in the playoffs last year and is most likely winding it down.
The Rockets are also in a position to deal players like JohnLucas III, Rafer Alston, Bonzi Wells, Steve Novak, or Luther Head for draft picks or players.

He's coming in this time as a part, not as the whole team. No one's expecting him to carry the team, just play a role. IF he's successful, suddenly this team is pretty deep. That Scola guy is supposed to be a pretty good player. He might be our 'Manu'.

Go over to youtube and type in Luis Scola. He's a pretty scrappy guy. Reminds me of a Kurt Rambis with some offense.

I really hope we do trade the excess players for nothing but draft picks. The more picks we stockpile, the better chance we have of keeping the team competetive for the future. I don't think we need another player at this point. I think the team is well rounded, assuming Mutombo and Hayes re-sign.

Bonzi Wells needs to be gone yesterday. Why the hell they would depend on him to do anything but be fat, stupid and lazy is beyond me.

Why they wanted a militant racist like Wells in the first place is what I don't understand. I would be hesitant to trade Luther Head right now. Rafer Alston and Wells can go.

If I took a draft pick, it would have to be a first rounder from a sh*tty team that would be a good bet for the lottery. |
