So, what do you think now that the whole game is over?
He did a good job, especially considering his top 3 targets were out most of the game. He's been a huge improvement over Carr.

chandler..you do have a point there..you're right..however i do think he needs to hold the ball a little better..These guys were dropping the ball all day...passes are one thign but there were a few needless close calls and very costly turnovers...he is certainly an appovement over carr but not quite peyton manning

LOL... what did Houston give for Shaub considering the big picture Vega?
They play alot of NFL football down there in PR do they>? I guess you talked to David Carr in the off season? LMAO
Stick to baseball, you do know a little about that subject.

Three games and already people are jumping on Shaub? Unbelievable. IF Carr would have still been QB and the same situation would have happened, Texans would have lost 30-3.

Exactly. Shaub has been just fine. 100% better than Carr. No he isnt Peyton Manning or Brady but he is a a bigtime improvement over Carr.
I'm not even a big Texans Fan and I can see that.

Let's see, Schaub was 27 of 33 for 236 yards. His starting wideout Johnson and one of his running backs in Ron Dayne didn't even dress out. He lost his other running back Green, his center McKinney and another wideout Jones do to injury during the game. Yet the score was 30-24 against the defending super bowl champs.
The Texans swap their 8th pick for Falcons 10th and give second-round picks in 2007 and '08 for a quaterback that has them 2-1 for the first three games. I'm not a Texans fan at all, (How bout them Cowboys?) but this is a much improved team with Schraub at quaterback and not Carr. He is 63 of 83 for 688 yards for the year. 75.9% completion rate. 4 td vrs. 3 interceptions and only 5 sacks in three games. Carr used to 5 in a game. They beat a bad Kansas City team, a good Carolina team and hung within a touchdown of the defending super bowl champions with 5 offensive players out with injury by the end of the game. That's a trade that is very well worth it.

It wasn't Schaub's best day, that's for sure. The good thing about the guy is that he's not a quitter and that rubs off on his teammates. Like everyone has said, e's a lot better than Pretty Boy Carr.

Matt Schaub is definitely not a quitter. He knows when he screws the pooch and seems to recognize that there was another alternative and tries to correct his mistakes. Carr never learned from his mistakes and kept making the same damned ones over and over. David Carr is not and never will be a "go to" QB. He is more interested in going home to his family than being a QB. All well and good, but if that is what he wants, then he should retire. Lord knows he has enough of the Texans money to live comfortably.

Up until the middle of Capers last year, David Carr's dad used to attend every Texans practice. That dude was babied big time.

I heard that his dad drove him to and from practice as well. Personally, I would have been embarrassed for my dad to bring me to NFL practice. His dad is one of his biggest problems. Why did mommy and daddy have to move to Houston with him and his wife? I'd be willing to bet that the old man even timed out David and his wifes' sex so he could go to sleep on time! ;D

Shaub is a hell of an improvement over David Carr. Carr always struck me as being on the faggy side.

No question, Schuab is a better qb. Watch what this guy does, he is only getting better.
