I knew that the best SS in baseball wouldn't be unemployed very long. He has already signed with the Twins. I think time will tell that Wade was an idiot to let Everett walk.

And what do you propose Adam do? Sit the bench for 3-5 mill per year? Thats what he would have gotten if they tendered him an offer.
I liked adam as much as the next guy but he was just never the offensive player needed. It was like having an automatic out in the lineup. Add in the pitcher spot and then Ausmus, well thats three everytime through the lineup.

Problem with Adam is his numbers where going downhill each year, instead of improving.

Hembo, Everett's hitting sucked. He's the best defensive SS in the game.....or he was before that clumsy ass in left field helped him break his leg.

nobody has ever doubted his fielding jb....i dont know if thats ever been questioned...but whats been questioned to within an inch of its life is to what extent is his defense good? he saves a run or two here and there but until now what they really needed was someone who can drive in a fckn run...everett would never be brought up or questioned if he was a red sox or yankee, because it wouldnt matter if he hit .058
i really dont see why this is so hard to grasp? everett didnt save enough runs to be so unproductive at the plate
