Roger Clemens ought to be ashamed of himself. With Andy Pettite admitting he used HGH, there's no way in hell Roger's not using HGH since the drugs came from Roger's friend McNamee.
I don't want that lying a$$h*le Clemens as a spokesman for this team either.

I believe 80-85 percent of the players used steroids or somekind of drug for performance. Are we going to go after all or some of them. Thats why you've never seen me go against Barry Bonds because i am sure others are involved specially guys we considered heroes right now.
I think is wrong and could do something to help young guys against doing in it but to say i don't want X player because of it, then is wrong.
I want Clemens on my team.

I don't disagree with your assessment of the precentage of cheaters. I just don't like it when those 2 a$$h*les got caught and wouldn't own up to it.

I don't want Clemens on the Astros simply because he is such a jackass.
Andie Pettitte has admitted taking HGH. He got this sh*t from the same guy that Roger personally hired as his "trainer". This guy was FIRED from the Yankers because of this and other actions, including but not limited to, being found in a swimming pool with an unconcious woman who was later found to have Rohypnal (I'm guessing at the spelling here), in her system. Then Roger puts him on his own payroll. Some sense of ethics here huh?
Roger is nothing but another scumbag athlete that cheated in order to get to the top, just like Barroid Bonds and just like Barroid, he deserves every ounce of criticism that is coming his way.
Is this the kind of person you want on your team? Not me.

Personally, I couldn't care less what Berkman said about the guy. He is a hotdog and I've had my fill of hotdogs with El Loco. I wish somebody like Berkman had told that trash can lid pounding idiot Jose Lima to shut the hell up a long time ago.

I agree,James.........just as long as the same people tell Berkman to get the lead out of his ass, go to work, and stop whining because Burke got traded to Arizona.

JB- Berkman is at least more interesting to listen to than Craig Biggio's incessant cliche's that went way past boring me to tears years ago.
I'm from the old school and my attitude toward ballplayers acting demonstrably on the field about something they've just done when all they are doing is....well, doing what their paid to do which is, doing their job.
Act like a professional and not like some tanked individual who's just put away a couple of six packs of tall boys while playing softball on the weekend.
My take on Berkman's comments on Burke from what I've read is he simply commented that he was sorry that Burke was gone and the comment got blown way out of proportion as though Berkman was complaining about the trade.
As for Berkman's problems with baserunning etc. Maybe he hung around Moises Alou too long and some of Alou's laziness and bad baserunning rubbed off on Berkman. ;D

JB and KEN were right on...how could one not like Biggio and bagwell? Their talent was obvious and their leadership un questioned...This, however, is the reality and a new team. berkman isnt good enough to be acting the fool and questioning mgmts decisions. Maybe a few years ago they would have swept it under the rug but probably no more...Biggio, Berkman and clemens are the ONLY three players i can think of where Mcclane had their backs no matter what...berkman isnt biggio or bagwell and i hope valverde buries one in his ribs in spring training
This is a new team and Boo Boo better get use to the fact his ass lovers are gone...maybe he should join them...If the astros could get a brandon webb type guy i would love to see berkman gone

Exactly, James. I am in total agreement. Berkman is spot on with his comments. I am certain he played with a hidden injury last year. I remember when he was ejected from a game and came back from the clubhouse to join an altercation on the field and had an ace bandage around his shoulder and back. He was also coming off a relatively recent knee injury. He still put up more than decent numbers. If Burke had been given the starting 2B job a few years ago, there is no doubt in my mind he'd be at least the equal of Kaz Matsui. It just wasn't meant to be for him. The only thing I fault Berkboy for is a sense of comfort-zone complacency, probably brought on by an upper management decision to construct wildcard 87 win teams for the past 7 years. Berkboy was right - we expect Backe to be a number TWO starter when he hasn't been able to stay injury free a single season. And the starting staff goes rapidly downhill from there. We bring in a cheater whose skills are fading and a flash-in-the-pan showboat for a closer. How many teams get into the WS with a rookie catcher? Do you really think our 1-2 hitters are going to have an OBP worth a crap to ignite this line-up? He probably figures the team would be lucky to sniff .500 and if you're going to play on a loser, you might as well have some decent human beings in the dugout. I doubt this club will come within 5 games of the Brewers. I don't care for the demonstrations put on by some of these pitchers.......all seem to be Latin....like Valverde, Lima, and Carlos Zambrano. I just thought it sounded like Berkman seemed overly anxious to trash his new teammate who is going to be our closer.
James, if Moises Alou tried to teach anyone about baserunning he should have had his ass tied to one of his treadmills and had it turned to the highest speed.

Ahh, but we should cherish multi-cultural diversity. Enough of tight-a$$ed Caucasian Calvinism. Bring on hot blooded Latin machismo
