probably just as well....prior was trashed in the blogs today...crucified...padres and astros were the only ones even remotely interested and judging by wade so far, they werent that interested or it would have happened...This guy takes up a roster spot, makes a million for watching baseball etc...must be nice...this guy hasnt even pitched in the minors in 2 years..let him go

jb..how many lives do you think the mark priors and kerrys woods get? when do teams finally give them the heave ho? Since the cubs did i probably have my answer, but still he isnt the first to collect millions over several years w/o being worth a sh*t..I understand clubs see more than we do so the fact that the cubs kept wood tells me they still think he can contribute(to what remains the mystery)

I have no problem with it, I prefer to sign Jennings, Benson or Lieber in that order.
We need a pitcher to pitch from day one because in second half we should have Clemens.
Rotation at the end of year:
1. Oswalt 2. Clemens 3. Wandy 4. Backe 5. Woody
If Woody makes a comeback and Wandy continues to pitch the way he did last year, this rotation is not bad.

Why do some people on this forum want the Astros to sign Clemens again? That is ridiculous. He needs to just go away and be quiet, just like McGwire.

Screw Clemens.
Vega, why do you want Jason Jennings back? I was never impressed with him before we traded for him.

He would be a great number 3 starter for us.
1. Oswalt 2. Clemens 3. Jennings 4. Wandy 5. Backe
with our lineup, bullpen and that rotation we win our division

Clemens as a #2??? We need someone that can make 30 starts, not 15. If we could pick up a real #2 starter and slot the rest of the rotation like you did, then I'd like our chances of taking the division.
If Clemens did want to pitch again in Houston the most I'd ask of him would be to come back mid to late july and be our #5 starter.

f**k ROGER THE CHEATER..This guy is a scumbag and we DO NOT need him in Houston..If his majesty pitches, i kind of doubt he will be able to dictate terms, and may no longer have the option of pitching half seasons ;D This guy is a farce..Yes, i would rather have Jason jennings..I dont give a sh*t what he pitches like..At least he doesnt cheat...Matter of fact i would shop tejada for some pitching....

I am not going to judge Clemens until I see the 60 minute interview. You can judge a man not only by what he says but how he says it. After the interview I think I will have a good degree of comfort knowing if he is a cheater or just someone whose name got dropped to get themselves out of a tight spot.
Let's face it, the guy did not come back on to refute what Pettitte said about only doing HGH a couple of times. If that is what Clemens did then I will not have as big an issue with it as I would with Steroids.

Problem is...
Clemens has already said he has never done HGH either.

heres the real problem nobody even mentioned..This trainer guy saying all this CANT lie.. If he did he will be in jail..The feds told him to cooperate or else..granted its a no win situation but still...He was pretty detailed about what took place and the fed didnt tell him how much he had to say...So he either added a little more to be petty or he was telling the truth...im giving him the benefit of the doubt(the trainer)
Are you telling me he was so cant live w/o that clemens brought him to each of his teams and then signed him to a personal contract? Bullsh*t....I think roger developed a guilty complex and to keep this guy quiet he hired him

I did not know that Clemens said that he did not use hgh. A bit of an issue there for him.
Look here is the deal with Clemens going on 60 minutes. If he goes on record and says that this guy is full of crap then he opens a big wide door for himself to get into a hell of a lot more trouble than Bonds is in today and Bonds is going to jail. So if he goes on record as saying that he did not do any of this stuff that was in the mitchell report then there will be an extensive investigation and a whole lot bigger sh*t storm will be in place. He is a fool if he did some hgh or steriods and goes on 60 minutes and denies it. He puts his family's fortune at risk, as well as his freedom and his legacy. That is beyond stupid.
However him just saying he did not do it carries no weight. How he says it and the way he carries himself as he says it will tell the tale. That is when I will pass judgement in my mind. Until then all we got is a rooster dance.

Clemens can go on 60 minutes and talk out his azz..He can deny ever doing anything... unless its a sworn statement this is just a circus act..Thats the difference between bonds and clemens. He really needs to tell the truth because people will be watching. If he goes on 60 minutes and lies, and next week the feds bring him in, he sure as sh*t better come clean then or he will be in the same boat as Bonds
heres the real problem for clemens..he heard whats in the report. he doesnt know what evidence they really have...he needs to be careful..The man is a egomaniac and that may be his downfall...if he f**ks up on 60 minutes you can bet your ass he will be called in for a sworn statement...he should fess up to either the roids or HGH and in time he will be ok....
We will find out real soon if he lied though...That much i promise you...george mitchell isnt an idiot. People dont realize at one time he was the 4th most powerful man in this country...he was also a former federal judge...he isnt just making this sh*t up
