The major problem with major league baseball

is Bud Selig and he just got a three-year contract extension. What further proof do we need that MLB doesn't plan to do anything to clean up its act. Bud Selig is totally worthless as a commissioner and has yet to prove he has the balls to deal with any problems.

Your right, when I heard that the owners gave Selig a three year extension that proved to me that they are not serious about cleaning up the illegal drug use in baseball.

Now we know why Congress is involved. The owners and Selig are part of the problem.

Another problem with MLB is the stupidity of teams to sign players for way too much money. Take Octavio Dotel and Jason Jennings. Neither of these guys did squat last year but look at their new contracts. Dotel is getting $11 mil for two years from the Red Sox and Jennings is getting something close to that from the Rangers. Does this make any sense at all? I think that I will watch from home again this year and not spend my money on tickets and watered down beer. Besides, I have better beer and food at the house!
