OUr top catching prospect was moved to double A.
Interesting move because he was not hitting well at High a.

I'd imagine they moved him up to have a catcher at AA. Santangelo was the main one and he's out.

Towels is hitting pretty good at double a so far.
Yes, not many at bats but good to see that average, OBP and slugging numbers high.

Well, Towels numbers at double a are bad now, .235 with no power.

well, not the numbers are good, .298 average with .400 OBP.
We really need this guy to step up and be able to play at triple a next year.

He looked pretty good tonight. He got one hit, but on another ball he got out on he hit it well. He has a nice swing.

Towles is hitting .327/.429/.558 in 113 at-bats. Looks like he is going to play triple a next year and be ready in late 2008 or 2009. Astros should sign Ausmus for 1 year and look to improve offensively at SS. What about trying to acquire guys like Ronny Cedeno?  ? |
