Troy Patton was called up to RR earlier in the week. We drove out to Round Rock to catch his first AAA start.
He went 7 innings giving up 4 hits 1 earned run, no walks and 2 strikeouts. He threw 78 pitches, 53 for strikes.
He didn't show any signs of struggle, in fact he looked like he could probably throw a complete game, but with a young arm such as his, they shut him down after 78 pitches.
JB's fav. rp, Stepin Fetchit, er Steven Randolph came in for the hold and Travis Driscill got the save.

I hope Randolph did a better job of holding it in RR than he did in Houston.

In his second AAA start, he went 5 innings, allowed 10 hits (3 of which were HR), and 9 earned runs.

Seemed like they were trying something with him here as keeping him in as he was lite up made no sense. His last start was much better.
