So these on another forum and I thought it was interesting. These are the players for the first season that Round Rock played in 2000 in AA. www.orangewhoopass.com/forums/index.php?topic=102974.0;topicseenSee how many of these names you might recognize that made it to at least a cup of coffee: Tim Redding, Tony McKnight, Jeriome Robertson, Wilfredo Rodriguez, Roy Oswalt, Barry Wesson, Colin Porter, David Matranga, Morgan Ensberg, and Keith Ginter. It just shows how hard it is to make the pros as we have only three from that team still playing and only one that should be up.

Wesson is back with the Express. I remember going to a game in Little Rock in 2001. We sat in the same box area as his parents. Nice folks and Barry is a great guy. I think Wildfredo is/was with the Rangers, but I don't know if he is gone from that system or not. The last I knew of David Matranga was spring traing 2006 when he was in the Angles org. He frequently posted on a web site I used to visit. I think if you check a little closer, Redding was not an original. I say this because I remember talking with him while he was charting pitches in San Antonio. Mike Maddux put us on to him and he had just been called up. This was in 2001 or 02 I believe. I've lost track of Ginter, the last I knew he was in the Brewers organization. For some reason I think Colin Porter went to the Rangers org. I think he was also the player Nolan's daughter married.
This was also the team that won the Texas League Championship. Of course, Jackie Moore was and still is the manager.
