I always loved this site and have been posting and reading this site and it's predicessors for almost 10 years.
I assume that everyone has moved on to a new site, but I dont know where it is.
Iowa fan is doing his best to keep it alivebut isnt getting much help.
Ok....the team sucks!...we are in last place, I get that, but we are closer to the top than we have been at this time of year in a loooong time....whats' up?

I agree, while I realize that the country is in a mess and most of us are working our butts off to stay alive, I hate to see this place disappear. It is the only place that I post period and have no real desire to move to another site. Probably just quit posting anywhere. We have had bad teams before. I first ran into you people when I was living in Africa, then in Chile, now here in South Dakota. This has been the only steady thing in my life.

I am too sorry this site has gone and almost died. I really have tried to get another site that has a couple decent poster to stay alive too and its sucks sometime, I still say it would fit you Iowafan, but you know yourself better than I

I thank you for thatn 03flht2. But I have people on here that I have known forever, James, Jbarron, Coach, SADoug, who knows, I may have known you under another title. I am tenacious and hate to lose track of old friends. There are others here too. I always got a kick out of Vega. Anyway it hurts to get beat twice more by the Rangers. This one tonight just sucks bad. Life is tough these days, lose friends, lose ballgames. Hell.

Iowa fan...I know what you mean...James and JB were on the way, way back boards....we used to get into great...uh...discussions from time to time....I also miss Vega, Hembo, coach and lots of others who I cant seem to recall right off hand...I have posted on this site from many islands in the carribean, and many places far from my home base. If internet was available, I would log on and catch up...sadly, doesnt seem much point lately.

I thought I might say that I always stuck with this site because I didn't really see the reason for people leaving because they got their tale feathers ruffled. That business with Pee-man way back when also I thought people over-reacted to what was happening also. That was sad because the site was loads of fun before that happened. You can't blame the one that got the blame there because he wasn't the one that pulled the switch. I liked those great uh, discussions because they really were some great reading at times.

I see some of those names on other sites though I have never seen Coach or a couple Vega yea but I think he was ban don't see his name any more floating. then again I think some don't use the same name at all sites to be incognito or the old nick was ban  |

oh I have been a member for while was on old board never knew why they moved this one and remember most of the old poster though I thought most where friends and knew each outside of here and sometimes felt like an outsider-- got real sick and didn't post hardly for two years, I am good now- finished treatment and meds and got a clean bill for now. GO for a Year out of treatment scan tomorrow

Couldn't agree more. I've been here (or there) since 99.....10 years, hard to believe. That was back when the board was a piece of the old astros.com site. Geesh, my son was 6months from birth....anyways, glad to see you guys still around. As for mentioning names, who was the girl that JB was always tangling with? Ah, it was Holly, man those were some threads, and then Astrogirl had her falling out.....

Wow!...is that you Dennis?...if so...you are the one guy bthat had his name changed more than me!...I used to think they thought we were in witness protection.
Maybe there is some life here afterall.Poor ole Iowa fan has been hauling the water all by himself.
Yeah...speedy, astro girl..JB's favorite, Holly, Major Mal, Houston Buff, .....all gone now, of course, so it appears is this site.

I frankly am not sure who you guys have been if you changed your avatar, what are some of the other ones that you have gone by way back then. I have kept some form of Iowafan all the time. I kind of get confused. Holly was absolutely hilarious and really smart about baseball. I say she was smart, not always right, okay? She also took things way too seriously. The site was amazing in those days. But it was like difficult trying to get people to not take things so seriously. I am serious about these Astros these days though. What a freaking interesting team and season! They suck really bad and will probably get pounded by the Mets and I doubt any more miracles can really happen. So what is new?
