you know i was reading something the other day about whats more impressive 3k hits, 300 wins or 500 Hr's? The debate could be endless....Heres the real problem with Biggio
I just thought of this..He may not get in on the first year of eligibility...Why? Look at it this way..this could be the last year for Biggio, Maddux, glavine, clemens, bonds, Piazza, and frank thomas
Only 3 of those guys will get in on first shot...my guess is clemens, piazza and Bonds...This isnt like football where 15 guys get in....This will be interesting to see..now obviously all those guys will make it but i seriously doubt they all get in at same time
out of that list i am 110% certain bonds, clemens and maddux will be there....

Why only 3? Each writer can vote for like 10 guys, if I recall correctly. There's no reason they wouldn't vote for any of those guys.

Tim K. on Sports Center said Biggio's 3k was more impressive than Thomas' 500 HR because so many guys are in line to pass 500 HR. It is just not all that special anymore. (My opinion -The bar should probably be raised to 600). Tim said the 3000 hit club is much more exclusive and is not likely to swell very much in the next decade.

I don't think Bonds will go in. Not that he may or may not deserve it, but because of the 'Roid Rage' amongst the sportswriters etc....

I wouldn't let Bonds sweep the floors in the Hall of Fame, let alone be a member of it. It woudl tarnish the names of those who really belong there.

I'm not sure Bonds, Glavin, or Thomas are ready to quit yet.

IF all these guys retired: Biggio, Maddux, glavine, clemens, bonds, Piazza, and frank thomas...
When was the last time a group like that all retired at the same time?

Piazza will go yo the HOF??? How does that happen? Why wouldn't the best hitting catcher all time be in the Hall of Fame?

I msaying if they did....That many people going in at same time is rare...It will not happen..providing they all retire at same time...There doesnt seem to be any logic behind maddux still playing, or clemens for that matter...what else do they need to prove? The best two pitchers in modern history
I didnt see the reasons behind piazza not being there? His offensive numbers are heads above the next closest guy....I think pudge is better all around ,but as far as hitting catchers go, piazza wrote the book

OK... but why cant they all get in>? What is your logic. Explain how the voting works that would keep any of them out.
Biggio gets in ahead of Glavine, Piazza or Thomas and it isnt even close. Bonds wont get in on his 1st time because of the steriod issue and hell, he may be in prison.
But either way.. Biggio gets in 1st ballot.

wtf AB? You cant have it both ways..i said he was guilty as hell just last week and you were the first to ask, 'why do you say that' 'nothing has ever been proven' (ill find the thread)
Biggio was not a better hitter than piazza..Its clear cut...
