The Yankees are a bad team. It so clear it isnt funny.
Andy and Roger went for the $$$ and the spotlight.
I for one am glad the money wasnt spent.

A very good lineup??? You must be joking right?
Their lineup is bad as well. Outside of Arod, Jeter and Posada they have NOTHING. They are terrible. Hell, they are the Astros.
If you just throw names up there it probably impresses alot of people who dont know any better. ESPN makes alot of these guys seem like bigtime players. I will say again, outside of Jeter, Arod and Posada there isnt one player the Yankees have on offense that I would trade an Astros for straight up all things considered. NOT ONE.
Abreu- Horrible... .691 OPS Cabrera- Nothing special. .698 OPS Cairo - no big d .593 OPS Cano see above... .701 OPS Damon see above.. .698 OPS Matsui see above .784 OPS ... and then they have Arod, Posada and Jeter. They have great numbers. But outside of those 3 guys, eeeh? Nothing. They are the Astros that cost $100 million more, which has netted Ole George what, 6 more wins?
The Yankees are no better an offense than the Astros with 3 hitters and everyone else. The Astros and Yankees have the same amount of team homers, 79. The Yankees are a bad offense and arent going to get any better.
Pitching...
Pettitte.. Nice stats, but has been horrible lately. WHIP - 1.40 Clemens.. 84 years old and really hasnt pitched well and against good teams. WHIP 1.48 Tonite notwithstanding.. he is done. It will end as an embarrasing year for Clemens. Wang... having a good year. Mussina- just so-so. Not better than Wandy. Hughes- NOT HEALTHY. That matters.
Vega... you really should have looked. This team costs $190 million and isnt much better off than the Astros. If Drayton did this you would be crazier than you already are.
The Yankees are a bad team going nowhere.

Yep! Look at the stats.
They are bad or very average.
Damon, Abreu and Cano are horrible and Matsui is oh so very average and none of them hit for any power.
The Yankees are a bad team.

lol, yes, that happened before, you SAW those stats and compared ensberg with Arod.
Damon, Abreu, Cano and Matsui at the end of they year will PLAY MUCH BETTER.
Hey, your guy Wheeler is giving up MORE runs.

Show how they are. If these guys played for the Astros making the money they make you would be screaming about how horrible they are. Just like your vendetta against Biggio. I thought the Yankees didnt tolerate bad players.
Look at the stats.
You really do think that just because you think someone is good we all should. At least have some backup to what you write Vega.
