Leave it to the National Media hacks to keep their heads in body orifices when considering these kinds of things. The ONLY reason they are going with Braun is because Milwaukee is in 1st place. That has to be why. They can see the forest for the trees.

OBP .391 OPS 1.054 slug .663 avg .350
pence...275 ab's/39 runs/94 hits/11hr's/42 rbi's/7 sb's
OBP .367 OPS .956 slug 589 ....avg .342
where does pence beat him at? He has 100 + at bats more than braun and in a few cases isnt as good as braun...

I dont know if you can go so far as to say' hands down' but my vote is for pence as well, as i havent seen braun play...I know he plays a tougher position though..That will factor into things im sure..

Let's see how they look at the end of the year. Braun has a lot fewer at bats. It gets harder and harder to keep up that OPS with more at bats.
I haven't seen or read anyone who gives it to Braun, btw.

Had Pence remained healthy, he would have won the Rookie of the Year award. Who knows......he may still win it. Then what will Ma and Pa Hembo's little man have to say??
