He is in the same league. I have said it time and time again and will once more. Pujols is better, but they are in the same league.
To say anything different is just you wanted to disagree for the sake of a fight or your are just stupid or both. I know which one I think it is.

We have been down this road before hembo and the facts dont support your opinion.
I love how you just ignore the stats.

At some point, you finally have to just decide that if a guy is going to insist on wallowing in his ignorance, you have to let it be.
Anyone with a brain who knows anything about baseball knows Berkman is far from being 'not much better than average'. I know it, you know it AB, most everyone else knows it. Not many people would actually give any credence to what he has to say anyways, so at this point he's pretty much reduced to the role of an attention starved puppy, off to the side yipping and barking, trying to get someone, anyone, to 'play with him', so to speak.
They say that ignorance is bliss, so that must make Hembo the happiest person in the world.

f**k you chandler..piece of sh*t..im tired of your disrespect. You guys want to wallow in the BS..Not a problem...BERKMAN ISNT EVEN IN THE TOP 3 IN HIS OWN FCKN DIVISION Im azz tired of hearing about this guy..he is an above average hitter who cant run or field...i dont see where this is special..You guys can suck each otehr off all you want but I ASSURE YOU NOBODY ELSE anywhere sees this guy as being much more than an above average hitter, and to be honest he isnt even that this year. I dare either of you to post this crap on a board that discusses baseball...you would hear them laughing from the east coast to california

Pujols is not that far ahead of Berkman. Berkman has struck out nearly twice as much as Pujols, but, overall I would rate them very close to being equal.
If not for Berkman having an off year this year, it would be a dead heat.
Hembo, try to do something besides go beserk when you are proven to be a baseball mental midget....which is fairly often.

Saying someone is in the same league isnt saying he is better.

More yipping for attention?
Then what in the *hell* are you doing on an Astros board?
I've already proven you wrong about this one.
How about the guys that voted him 6th in MVP in 2001, 3rd in 2002, 7th in 2004, 14th in 2005, and 3rd again in 2006? What about the 4 times he's been an all star, never once as a fan elected guy? Apparently the managers and players think he's ok. Seems to me that plenty of people realize what he brings to the table.
You don't want to see it, fine. I've given up on trying to convince you. You seem to perfectly happy to wallow in your ignorance.
I have posted, and will continue to post, 'this crap' on boards that talk baseball, this one and plenty of others, and the odd thing is, the majority of those guys recognize how good he is. The ones that don't? We make 'em look just as silly as you've been made to look here.
I hope you enjoyed that I took this much time to 'play with you', as I know the attention is all you want. I'm gonna try not to make this mistake again, but sometimes you just make it too damned easy.

The biggest difference between Pujols and berkman is that now that they are off the juice, Pujols continues to hit (albeit not quite a good), while Berkman is merely an average hitter.
Off year, I think not . He's lost his power potion.

You must be joking right?
He has 3 less homers than Pujols. Berkman is just having an off year. So Berkman was on steriods in 2006?? Jeez, you guys need to quit it.
