Attached to Berkman's body! In reality, he looks more like Spanky McFarland

Berkman is 9th in the NL this season among regular firstbaseman in OPS.
That's right, 9th.
Even guys like Hatteberg and Dmitri Young are ahead of him.
He is not thet elite, especially when you consider his salary.
Guys making $1M are hitting better than him.

He had an off year and seems to be heating up now. Its a little too late but I think it will carry over into next season.

Berkman will get his stuff together before long. Look where he ends the year. It will not be one of his best efforts but everyone has an off year. Even Pujols is having a tough time this year or at least he was last time I checked.

All Berkman's done for the last 7 games is score 8 runs, on 11 hits, 3 hr, 5 rbi, .458 ba, .552 opb, .833 slg, and 1.385 ops. For the month of August, he has 20 runs scored, 7 hr, 11 rbi, .338 ba, .424 obp, .635 slg, and 1.059 ops. He is projected to score 101 runs, 32 homers, 101 rbi and 100 walks. He is currently 8th in BB in the league and in home runs in the league. All of that during an off year. We diffenently need to gid rid of Lance. Every body is better than him. Some of you people just amaze me.
