And the reason was ONE, Biggio.
Kent is better than Biggio.

Vega.. thats easy. There are alot of players better than Biggio. Biggio is toast and should be hitting 6th and platooning at best. I for one would like to see Lane's ass sent packing and Burke brought back up.

yes, but why is Kent so important for us, because he is a very good number 5 hitter.
Thats why i wanted Lee over Soriano because we needed a number 4 hitter and Lee is that kind of hitter, Soriano is not.
Now, same applies to Kent, as number 5 hitter he would really help this team, that way you can have Pence at number 6 with Bengie number 7 and now we are talking about a really good lineup.
I really believe management and Biggio screwed this organization.

I dont disagree. I have just admitted to myself it is what it is. The real deal will be when he gets his 3000. What they do after that.

You and I and everyone else knows that nothing will change. He's going to have to retire before McLane and Phil quit using him the majority of the time, even if he doesn't deserve it (and he doesn't anymore).

well, after 3,000 we face Loretta or Burke at 2nd.
Organization stopped the development of Burke so i don't know how good he is going to be, it must be frustrating for a guy to be in his shoes.

You think he'll no longer be the everyday 2b after 3000? I'm not asking you what SHOULD happen, I'm asking what you think WILL happen.

They will not embarass him but his days of everyday play are #'d.. he will come down with, um, a strained left something or other..i'd bet money on that ..whether he has a strained right something or not will not matter.

I wish I could be as optimistic as you, but IMO things won't be any different as far as the lineup is concerned. IT took him forever to quit starting Ensberg when he sucked, why would he be quicker to pull Biggio?

I think Burke should be the choice, we need to go younger and FASTER.

yes, but had a .344 OBP LEARNING a new position.
His OPS was over .730 and he was not really hitting.
Those numbers are not bad, not great but not bad.
I think he is a guy that can hit .280 with a .350 obp with some power, plus speed and good defense.
