The Astros had to call Bud Selig and explain why they were using 3 rookie pitchers in a row vs the Brewers because of a complaint by the Cubs, who as we know, are in a tight race with the Brewers.
Why should we have to explain anything to the Cubs? They have running scrubs and duds out for the last 50 years! ;D

True, using a guy with a .290 OBP for the whole year is stupid, and using him in the first and second spot for the whole year is BEYOND CRAZY.

They should complain for using Biggio, lmao No, the Cubs and Brewers should be sending money to the Astros for keeping Biggio in the lineup. Both teams should be glad we are keeping him in the lineup instead of using someone who can catch a ball and move right and left. Plus, he an OBP at the bottom of the league. Draytie has to keep running him out there to let fans see him because there isn't much time left. Biggio should ask to sit because he's embarrassing himself at the plate. |

South.........or whoever you are.......this is the end of 2005. Nobody gives a damn what Biggio did in 2005. The fact is that he has been too old to play every day for two years but has kept his job due to orders from Draytie, who will gladly sacrifice winning to let Biggio play because Draytie thinks that's more money in the bank. I'm surprised he hasn't tried to pay Biggio to do a nude centerfold to give to all of those old hags who still squeal when he comes to bat.......even though they know he'll probably strike out or pop up. If Biggio wanted to come back next year, the manager would still be forced to play him. He has been playing too much. Burke should be getting all of this playing time that is wasted on Biggio.

I'm only correcting Vega because it seems he has parroted that idea in many a topic now. I don't disagree that he's sucked the last two years, and has received far too much playing time.
