Roger Clemens will miss his scheduled debut for the Yankmees Monday nite due to a strained groin. He is expected to miss at least 2 weeks.
Wouldnt it just be something if he decided not to comeback after all with the Yankees being 20 games out by that time?
A wasted $26 million. But then again, I guess they dont have to pay him since he never played in a MLB game. That will be interesting to see if he is actually added to the big clubs roster so that MLB contract kicks in.
Couldnt have happened to a nice guy or to a worse organization.

Ahh, crap. Just when I bought futures in rhinestones and pink mink in anticipation Debbie's New York Homecoming boutique. Damn the luck. Don't you know the Astros' wives are glad to have her out of town ---waltzing around like Mr and Miss High School.

Vega, Clemens has always been an a$$h*le. He just happened to pitch in Houston for a little while. He was still an a$$h*le while he wore an Astros uniform. Frankly, I'm glad the turd pulled a muscle and hope he isn't able to pitch all season and that George has to pay him every penny of his contract. If that makes me a homer, I'm guilty.

The difference between you and AB is that you can see which Astro players are a$$h*les and AB can't.

Vega.. let me be clear. I dont think any current players are "a$$h*les". That doesnt figure into it.
Ensberg- Trash Lane - Below trash OP - somewhere between Ensberg and Lane Biggio - a HOF player in the last days of a great career that shouldnt be kicked to the curb. It would just be wrong.
I dont think Garner is a great manager. I also dont think Purpura is that great a GM. In fact I am questioning his ability to evaluate talent. I think this got away from him and he is lost at this point. He will have alot of work to do to fix the current situation.
But Biggio is far from the Astros worst problem.
I just dont understand why Berkman, Biggio would be called "a$$h*les". Like they are doing this on purpose.
Clemens on the other hand.. Is doing this on purpose.

Biggio is an a$$h*le because he whines to the media any time he gets his little feelings hurt. He doesn't realize that right now he is more a part of the problem than part of the solution. A leadoff man who consistently swings at the first pitch he sees is an idiot. How many times has this a$$h*le popped up swinging at the first pitch?

If AB bothered to read what Chandler posted earlier, Biggio is not well liked in the clubhouse.

Most of the players in the clubouse know that this season is all about Biggio's 3,000 hits and that it's being given priority over the team winning. I think that has a lot to do with the listless play we are seeing. They know that management will not make the moves necessary to win. We are too busy trying to pamper Biggio.

JB, I agree with you and Coach, the thing is, you ALWAYS post your opinion about a player and does not change because he change uniforms, now, AB is another story, when Clemens was here he was NOT playing for money, now he goes to NY and he plays for money. Same with Pettitte.
AB can't understand that they left the astros because they THINK they have a better chance on winning at NY than Houston.
Are they wrong??? I don't know, lets hope so, but that was the reason.
And no, AB, I disagree, BIGGIO SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING.
