I'll give them Burke, Wigginton, and a good prospect but NOT Everett. If I wanted Tejada, it would be to play third base. But, as James said, I'm not in favor of trading for a steroid junky.

So much for David Delatti's scoop...

We don't need Tejada, we need pitching, starting pitching.
The best case scenario is this:
1. Oswalt 2. Jennings (comes back and has a good year) 3. Patton (as a rookie, he pitches as a good number 3 starter) 4. Woody (Big questioin mark here). 5. WAndy/Backe
If Jennings is able to regain form, and be an adequate number 2 starter, i believe out of the other 4 pitchers, we can get 2 that hold the job as 3 and 4, and hopefully other 2 will battle to win 12 games as number 5 starter.

We haven't signed Jennings and I hope to hell we don't.

Reality says that the starting staff is
1. Oswalt 2. Rodriguez 3. Backe 4. Patton 5. Woody/Sampson
This is a 500 staff ready to happen.
NOW IF
1. Roy returns to 06 form and 2. Wandy takes his home era on the road and 3. Backe can hit 180 innings with a reasonable era and 4. Patton can pitch in the majors like he did in the minors and 5. Sampson can regain confidence in his defense and pitch ground balls and not gopher balls
then this team can conceivably make the playoffs. That is a lot of ifs.
