Obviously they thought Lane or Scott or Burke (this year) was more MLB ready than Pence. The team was wrong, but that's not a mark against Pence.

NO you werent, you were saying that Tulo is better because he is 1.5 years younger and was brought up sooner by his team. Based on your player predictions lately if I were Tulo I wouldnt want you singing my praises. Its a bad omen. He is destined to be Chris Burke now.
You didnt say pity, you said bad.
They had Burke in CF. They must have thought he was a better hitter. He wasnt/isnt.
Luke Scott is not bad, in fact I think he can be quite good.
How can you powder Jason Lane now after you carried water for him for 2 seasons?
Hidalgo was never an option. Once again.. silly to bring it up.

The people making decisions........Purpura and MacLane........have no clue as to how to build a team. Purpura weakened the team by trading for Jason Jennings and giving up way too much to get him. He thought he could depend on Ensberg and Lane to produce runs and was too stupid to these two losers wouldn't get the job done. He probably could have had Tejada from Baltimore if he had the brains to complete the deal. Hunter Pence has a chance to be in the category with Biggio and Bagwell before he's done if MacLane isn't too tight to keep him around.

JB.. The O's wanted Oswalt. You cant blame Tim for not completing a deal with the O's. No one can. That is a screwed up team.

AB, again you have no clue, really. I am saying that you cna't compare numbers when a guy is younger. I don't really think you understand taht. Now, i am not blaming Pence for not playing before, THAT IS THE ORGANIZATION. Look at Pence numbers in the minors, they were good, why took so long? ORGANIZATION. Now, to COMPARE players, AGE GOES INTO CONSIDERATION. Sorry if you can't understand that, but is a fact. About Scott, YOU SAID HE WAS GOING TO BE AN ALL STAR, hmmmmmm

Pence just keeps on rocking. 2-5 with a homer and 2 RBI's.
The other guy... not so much. 0-3

You can't look at each individual game to prove a point. Revisist this conversation at the end of the month and start looking at the trends.
Banter after every frigging game is just overanalyzing.
