Did you stupid motherf**kers even read what i had said? I knew the stat man would come in with a flurry of nonsense but AB, re read...I said 30 hr's and 100RBI's.. You called me on it and i posted it..However, since we are on it, lets do indeed look at the full picture... Most of those guys can play defense. Most of those guys know how to run from home to first base. Most also know how to avoid getting into too many rundowns from bonehead mistakes..lance Berkman is only special on this board..Like everything else here it cant be done unless an Astro is doing it

I knew the stat man would come in with a flurry of nonsense It's only 'nonsense' to you because it exposed your ignorance (yet again). Yes, and I pointed out that you can't just judge Berkman by his HR & RBI. That would be stupid to do so. You then proceeded to make a b.s. list where it appears you're trying to compare guys like Joe friggin' Crede with Lance Berkman. Berkman plays defense just fine, either in RF or at 1b. I guess when he finished 3rd in MVP voting, all of those votes came from this board? How about in 05 when he finished 14th, 04 when he finished 7th, 02 when he finished 3rd, or 01 when he finished 5th? I guess this guy who wrote this is from this board? I guess this one also??There, it once again took me about 3 minutes and two websites (google and baseball-reference) to prove this tripe that you're posting is pure garbage.

ensberg is done, i take crede over ensberg. Just for discussion sake, what makes you so sure that Ensberg is done and Crede's not? Let's consider two facts: 1. Ensberg has better career numbers and 2. Even in a year when he's 'done', he's put up better numbers than Crede. Ensberg probably is done, at least in Houston. I just see nothing about Crede that would make me jump for joy for him, either.

Hembo.. I really dont understand you. You get shown over and over what the FACTS are and you still refuse to believe that Berkman is an elite player. He isnt the best ever and no one is saying that, but he is an elite player.

I take Crede, who you know will get you 20 homers and a .260 average and GREAT DEFENSE over a guy that you don't know if is going to hit for power or ONLY get on base via walk.
For a 3b, I take the power and defense over average defense and walks.

How do you 'know' that's what you'll get from him? He's only had one season where he hit over.260 and had 20 home runs.
The guy doesn't get on base at all, aside from 2006 he doesn't hit for much power, AND he's got some serious back issues that have been going on for 3 years. Once a back is injured, sometimes the person never returns to normal.

AB dont let things like facts get in your way...wow, berkman finished 5th, and 14th in MVP voting LMAO...This is the best you guys can do? I said he was good at offense but you two make it sound like he is babe Ruth all over again.. i provided facts and you still try and BS your way out of it...THIS is EXACTLY why i rarely even bother..this time i got ya though...he is middle of the road..he would certainly play on any team but so would that list...he isnt special

Ah hell, hembo, a damned good case has been made showing why he's NOT middle of the road, but if you want to continue to wallow in your ignorance, be my guest. I've said my peace, no sense wasting any more time on this.

You rarely bother because you are a moron who doesnt have a clue how to bother.
Berkman is NOT middle of the pack. He isnt Babe Ruth, but he isnt middle of the pack.
Crede, Sexson, Dunn the list goes on and on. How on earth do you think those guys could even touch his jock.

In a down year this year, he is top 10 in the National League in rbi and walks. Last year he was top ten in ops, hr, rbi, bb, ba., obp, and slugging. That is top 10 in 7 batting categories. He is consistently in the 10 in several batting categories every year. In his 8 year career, he has averaged 143.25 games per year, 499.63 AB, 91.88 runs, 150.13 hits, 33.5 doubles, 2.38 triples, 30 homers, 101.63 rbi, 94 walks, 99.38 strike outs, 6.5 stolen bases, 4 caught stealing, .300 BA, .414 OBP, .557 SLG, and .971 OPS.
He has had 17 errors at 1b in 260 games started, 16 in left field in 447 GS, 5 in center field in 159 GS, and 11 in right field n 221 GS for a total of 49 errors in 1087 games.

I just had a thought. Since hembo made a list of players who had a 30/100 season I wonder why he failed to include Ensberg. Ensberg had 1 season where he passed the 30/100 mark. ONE SEASON. IN fact, most of the guys on hembos list didnt reach that mark. Like I said... 90, 92 or 95 hell even 98 ISNT 100.
What hembo fails to understand is Berkman averages 30/100 for 7 seasons. He didnt just have 1 season like that.

i apologize ab..i didnt know ensberg hit 30 hr's and drove in 100 in 2006...
Tbone..I can roll with what you're saying...well thought out and researched..i can deal with you...berkman is a great offensive player...i dont know where i said he wasnt? i did, however, say many times he isnt alone and his numbers dont stand above a lot of people. in addition to that he isnt worth a sh*t on defense and runs bases like he's lost...

oh, btw, ab...You know why ensberg wasnt included? because he didnt hit 30/100... Thats ok though as this is SOP for you. After the AROD debacle people know where you're coming from

hembo... most of the players you listed didnt hit 30/100. Ensberg damn sure did in 2005.
You are a lost cause dude. Chandler and me said the same thing T- Bone did, but its different when we say it?
YOU DIDNT say Berkman was a great offensive player. You have been saying the exact opposite for months. Chandler handled that argument quite well.
I wish you would just admit you write these things for shock value because you are bored and like stirring up sh*t. There is no way you could be this stupid.
