3 runs in 1 2/3 innings so far. This guy is AWFUL. We should put this clown in DL and have some young guys pitching for us. With Jennings pitching we are WASTING valuable experience to other pitchers like Albers and Gutierrez. HIRSH, BUCH, TAVERAS FOR JENNINGS, ouch. Can you spells DUMB?  ?? Yes, P-u-r-p |

Yes, P-u-r-p Best thing Purpura can do is let this guy walk at the end of the season, cut your losses and quietly hope that some of the young pitchers you didn't give away for this stiff becomes good enough to get big league hitters out consistently. |

Purpura should be ran out of Houston for making the trade for this clown. He has to be one of the worst starting pitchers in the NL, if not all of baseball. We had to have him because he went to Draytie's school........Baylor.

JB, beleive it or not, the Cardinals have 2 or 3 pitchers that are ALOT worse. Jennings is bad, but he isnt the worst.
What we need to hope for is that Jennings can throw good enough between now and seasons end that he has some value to other teams and then the Astros can offer arb and get draft picks when he leaves.

NOPE! The Cards arent better. They happen to be higher in the standings, but they arent better. Up until this past week the Astros score more and gave up less runs. Even after this past week and the unreal amount of runs that have been scored the Astros have only given up 3 more runs than the Cards.
It really doesnt matter, but I expect the Astros to finish ahead of the Cards in the final standings.
Vega, are you bored? Feeling the need to start a fight? The topic was Jennings and how bad he is. Not whether the Cards are better than the Astros.

they are not going to win the division, but they are playing better than us. Right now the are BETTER than the Astros because they are AHEAD of the astros, thats the truth. Which team is better? Well, last year AB said the Astros were better than Cards but guess who is the World Champions. Funny but same thing is said AGAIN from this person. I thought he would LEARN. |

One thing has nothing to do with the other Vega. I thought YOU would learn by now. The Astros have been a better than the Cards. There were alot of better teams than the Cards last year, WS title or not. I know damn well you understand that concept. 1998 the Astros were easily the best team in baseball. Didnt work out.
If you would ever check that Latin Macho EGO of yours at the door you might be more liked and easier to take.
You would cry like a little girl if people went back and called you on everything you predicted or said would happen or player you said was going to be a superstar. I wouldnt be bringing up others laundry from the past if I were you.

everytime you do the SAME thing, Astros are BAD, and you say, ohhhh, but they are better than Cards. Well, what have you done lately? ?? Well, last year they won it all, this year with an inferior team they are BETTER. So, who cares if Cards are better or not, IMPORTANT THING IS ASTROS SUCK. I say Jennings sucks and then you say, BUT CARDS HAVE WORSE ROTATION. Who cares? Like i said 2 month ago, this team would be closer to last than to first. And look at the Cubbies, after Lou's tirade that team is on fire. |

No Vega.. thats not what I said. I was responding to JB , NOT YOU. The Cards DO have 2 or 3 pitchers worse than Jennings. Maroth, Reyes, Wells, Pineiro. Hell, the Cards entire staff is bad, very bad.
The Cubbies spent $300 million last of season. They got better. Lou's tirade had nothing to do with it. Todays players arent scared of the manager. Your a fool if you think that really had a dam thing to do with it.

cards will still win this division more than likely They have no chance of winning this divsion unless the Brewers and Cubs both collapse and that won't happen. Besides, the Cards don't have the pitching to make a run. As bad as I hate to say it, the Cubs will win this division. |
