Chandler, you just don't get it. If the facts don't conform to the theory, then the facts must be ignored. Haven't you been listening?
How dare you try to bring rationality into a discussion around this place. Who is right is determined by who yells the loudest and know the least. We have no room for data. Besides, baseball is a sport that doesn't lend itself to statistical analysis. At least that's what I've learned here.

Vlad isnt a HOF'er. On what do you base that on? PLease enlighten the rest of us on what Vlad has done that makes him a HOF'er RIGHT NOW.
If Vlad is a HOF'er so is Berkman.
Vega... is that your OPINION? If so, say it.

He should have at least 5 more yeaars getting close to 200 hits.
That is, 2,800 hits at age 36. He can play 2 more years, get 3,000 hits, and get 500 homers.
Dude, that is hall of fame numbers, including 200 steals or so and one of best arm at RF.
Sorry, IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO SEE A HALL OF FAMER thats your problem, I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM.

If Vlad stopped playing right now is he in the HOF? Thats the question. YOu are calling him a no doubt HOF'er. He isnt. Berkman may have the numbers by the time he retires.
Thing is... you dont KNOW Vlad will get in and you dont know Berkman wont.

Bob Fothergill .325 Mike Donlin .333
to name two.
Does this mean that Todd Helton (career BA = .331) is a HOFer?

Also... I love how Vega acts as if Vlad will continue on his current pace, but Berkman or any Astros for that matter wont.
If Berkman keeps hitting at his career averages or even close he will have HOF numbers.
