Dunn made $10.5 million this year, not $18 million. Lots of people think there's a chance they won't resign him. AB's not saying that he agrees, he's just pointing out a fact. Law ArticleHere's the quote of interest: "Votto's callup is most notable for the player left behind: Jay Bruce, a contender for the title of No. 1 overall prospect in the minors and the man who probably will force a trade of Adam Dunn this winter. With Votto likely to take over at first base, Josh Hamilton and Ken Griffey Jr. locked into outfield spots, and Ryan Freel under contract -- the only spot for Bruce is in right field, which means the Reds probably will look to trade Dunn. (They also could decline Dunn's option and let him walk as a free agent, but that would be totally irrational. I guess we can't rule it out.)"

WELL, more intersting is, Lee has never had an OPS of .900, Dunn has done in 3 out of 4 times in the past 4 years. How much money is Lee making? ??/ and Dunn, 13 next year? ??//

What the hell does that have to do with Dunn and his option.
GM of the Cardinals? Adam Dunn plays for the Reds Vega.
Just more of Vega pretending he wasnt wrong about another baseball topic.
Wasnt it Vega who was glad the Astros signed Lee. Didnt you say Lee was the best option for this team last off season. Now you dont like him?

Noooooooooooooooooo, are you that smart? What I am saying is, I like Lee and Lee has a big contract, and has not had a .900 OPS in his career. So, 13 millions for a guy with a .900 OPS? ??// You say Reds are not going to pick it up" ??// Sorry, but Reds are not the AStros who did not pick Kent's option.

I am not saying they will or wont. I am saying there is plenty of talk they WONT pick up the option because they need that money to fill multiple needs. The Reds dont have a huge payroll.
I dont know what they will do. I am trying to explain to you what the talk is.
.... and yes, I am that smart. On your best day and my worst I am smarter than you.
But once again.. what does Lee have to do with Dunn?

Thats a stupid bet.
If it makes you feel better about yourself to say you know more about baseball.. Have at it. I dont get my self worth from an internet baseball forum or from living my life thru Millionaires playing a kids game.
But your wrong.

well Dunn certainly isnt going to be a batting champion but imagine pitching to the top half of that order next year? pence#2 spot berkman and lee...cant walk all of them.....a big bat is needed...if dunn connects its probably not staying in the park...18 mil is a little high but i sure as hell would pay him 12-13

so? you cant keep balking at a player because of who their agent is...we lost pettite and clemens because of that...they could have made a difference this year...owners need to suck it up and swallow their pride on occasion
