so? you cant keep balking at a player because of who their agent is...we lost pettite and clemens because of that...they could have made a difference this year...owners need to suck it up and swallow their pride on occasion Sure you can. There are people that are so unethical you refuse to do business with them. Boras is one of those guys. I believe there are other teams that don't deal with him. The White Sox for one, I think. There may be more. Regarding Pettite and Clemens, I know that the Astros and the Hendricks bros don't like each other but they've come together on deals plenty of times before. I think it was a matter or Roger and Andy getting tired of the lack of run support in Houston and not being able to play on the big NY stage.

lol, looks like astro will not be able to get anybody unless they are friends with friends of team because they don't get along with any representative of players, according to some.

I thought it was interesting that at both Biggio's 3000 hit ceremony and Bagwell's number retirement ceremony, Barry Axelrod, their agent, was a guest sitting on the field with everyone else.
Looks like the Astros get along with some agents just fine.

yes, especially after biggio and that agent took hostage the organization for 3 years.
If it was the yankees biggio ends up playing with another team 3 years ago.

it looks like he has a lot of pride and will retire. I think jeter plays more for wins than for records. But, he will retire or will play in another place, yankee fans are NOT LIKE YOU, they will start booing the guy FAST, THEY WILL TELL HIM WHEN IS TIME TO RETIRE. Do you think Yankee fans care about guys getting 3,000 hits? ?/// They care about winning.

NO Yankee fans care about Legends too.
But Yankee fans dont run the team.

LMAO... yea. Ole Babe couldnt convince Steinbrenner and Cashman to resign him. Do you know for a fact that the owner in 1934 isnt the same owner the Yankees have now? Freaking stupid example Vega. Ruth finished his career in NY. The 28 games he played in 1935 were because.. no wait. Vega... do you even know why he played for the Boston team in 1935? ?
