nahhhh, you are the one that wants to argue on 40 games instead of careers, talk about spinning, you are doing a great job.
And berkman looks like 35 if you ask me.

1b - maybe hurt again, but I don't think this is from the previous injury. He was fine last year and has looked fine in RF. SS - Everett is doing his job.
You mean like the champs last year who won it all with a light hitting SS?
They're doing fine in SPITE of Lugo. His bat is missing and his defense is still what you expect from him.
Let's see how they fare compared to the rest of MLB...
What do you want to measure this with? Going by runs scored, we're 3rd in the league. Hits? 9th. HR?? 18th. RBI? 22nd. average?? 13th. OBP?? 12th. Slugging? 19th. OPS?? 13th.
Why would we pay a dead OF to play for us? Lee's performing much better than Bond could have ever hoped.

Crash.. How can you honestly not like Carlos Lee? Tonite aside... He has done his job and hasnt been horrible in LF.

Berkman is too lazy to get in shape. Your insight into his personal character is amazing. Do the rest of the players for us!

Everett is doing his job? ??/ lol, hitting .200? Can you say that with a straight face? Actually, he also has 6 errors.

The Astros situation at SS, C, 1B and LF is deadly - for us, not the opponent. Crash, you crack me up. You really do. Having Berkman (who will turn it around) and Lee out there in the lineup is 'deadly' for the team?

Vega.... isnt that what you are doing to Berkman after 40 games?
I am not spinning anything.. I posted actual stats.
Right now, Vizquel is hitting no better than Everett. Thats the facts.

Can you say that with a straight face? Why would I say it with a crooked one? Oh damn, I'm sorry. I must have missed the memo that said it's a good idea to judge defense on errors made alone. We'll ignore the fact that Everett's range is far greater than pretty much any other SS, hence he gets to far more balls, and just focus on the 6 errors.

crash, i agree with you, we CAN'T have a SS that does not hit.
GOOD teams don't have guys like Everett as starters, they have a player that can hit and play defense, at least hit something.
With the Astros you face the 7th, 8th and 9th hitter and you know they will not help much if anything offensively, you can't win like that unless you have a GREAT rotation and still, you can't carry a SS hitting .200 nowdays.

vizquel IS not a good hitter, he hits more like Everett than Ozzie Smith, thats for sure, you 2 convince me on that one.

.. and Vega.. I agree with you on Berkman. He looks HORRIBLE right now. If he doesnt hit, the Astros will lose.

That's right. No matter what the other guys do, if we continue to have our #3 hitter hitting .250/.400/.350, we're not going to win much.

They need to stop calling Berkman the "big Puma" and start using the "Big Pu$$y". It's more appropriate.
